The Corbett's
I was only 30 years old with a new baby daughter (Libby) and two young boys (Ryan and Dylan) when I was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2007.

Within two hours of diagnosis we had left our home in Gympie to begin treatment in Brisbane - five months of gruelling chemotherapy followed by a stem cell transplant.

When I got the news, I remember looking down at our new baby sleeping peacefully in my wife Louisa’s arms, while our whole world seemed to be falling apart.

At times I didn’t know if I would ever come home. Now Louisa and I can look forward to watching our three beautiful children grow up.

It was a difficult journey, but the Leukaemia Foundation was there for us with free accommodation and caring support when we desperately needed it most.

Please help other patients and families like mine by participating in this year’s Doorknock Appeal.

Thanks
